The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over conduct of a homicide investigation in Surrey after one man was killed Wednesday.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday (April 8), Surrey Police Service officers responded to assist BC Emergency Health Services paramedics with an injured man in the 9700-block of 134 Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a man apparently suffering from injuries who was receiving treatment, an SPS release said.
He man was transported to an area hospital by BCEHS paramedics, but despite life-saving efforts, the man died.
While the investigation is still in its early stages, it appears to be an isolated incident, the release noted.
IHIT has now taken over the investigation and are working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.
