A musical revue of songs from the most popular musicals of our time will feature eight teens from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
Called “All of the Above”, the show is being put on by Mountain Theatre, whose director is also from Maple Ridge – Rebecca Dougan.
Locals Levi Hawkins, Jorja Hawkins, Bianca Macdonell, Immy Hughes, Charleigh Land, Rylie Land, David Wheeler and Keilah Fedyshen, have been rehearsing since September.
The show will not only present 15 songs, featuring 19 musical theatre stories, but also the costumes, pops, sets, and stories.
From “Tarzan” to “Tick Tick Boom”, from “Hunchback of Notre Dame” to “American Idiot”, the group will be taking on all eras, themes, and genres.
A couple of the songs that will be performed include “She’s in Love” from The Little Mermaid, and “Goin’ Courtin’” from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
The family friendly performance will include lots of dancing and singing and will be great entertainment for all ages.
“All of the Above” runs from April 9-11 at Terry Fox Theatre, 1260 Riverwood Gate, in Port Coquitlam.
Tickets are $18 each, plus a $1.02 processing fee.
