1 man dead after shots fired in Surrey

One man is dead in Surrey after a shots fired incident on March 28.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers say they responded to reports of shots fired in the 15100 block of 60 Ave, Surrey at approximately 6:40 p.m. on March 28.

Upon arrival, SPS officers say they located a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds.

BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) also attended the scene.

Despite life saving efforts the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

SPS shares that the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over conduct of this homicide investigation and is working with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.
