Man charged with bestiality following alleged Vernon equestrian incident

A man has been charged with bestiality, two months after an alleged incident at a Vernon equestrian centre.

The incident reportedly involves the alleged assault of horses at Abigail Equestrian in the BX area, on Jan. 24. The professional training facility released surveillance images of a break-in suspect who was alleged to have also assaulted several horses.

A man was arrested in relation to the incident on Jan. 26 and then released from custody pending further investigation, the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP confirmed.

Seth Justin Christian, born in 1991, was charged with one count of bestiality on Wednesday, March 25.

Christian is scheduled to make his initial appearance in provincial court in Vernon on Thursday.
