Police investigating early-morning shooting at Surrey business

Police in Surrey are investigating an earl-morning shooting at a business in the Cloverdale neighbourhood.

At approximately 3:35 a.m. on Monday (March 23), RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit members responded to reports of a shooting in the 5400-block of Production Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police located a business that had been damaged.

Fortunately, nobody was injured as a result of the incident, a Surrey Police Service release noted.

RCMP SPOSU General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation, which is in its early stages.

“The motive is still under investigation. At this time, there are no definitive ties to extortion,” SPS said in an email.
