A ‘soul-soaked night of melodies’ at The ACT in Maple Ridge

The Listening Lounge at The ACT Arts Centre features the Tina Leon quartet this Friday, March 27.

Her new show entitled Push & Pull presents her new album on stage. Through soul, RnB and jazzy rhythms with rich melodies, she invites audiences to participate in a colourful journey. With her seasoned musicians, the Montreal-born singer-songwriter offers a memorable performance that will challenge you not to dance.

Leon draws her inspiration from the Motown generation and the soul music of the last decades. Having already sung and collaborated with Stevie Wonder, DJ Champion and Garou under the artist name Marie-Christine Depestre, she now appears in a new light, that aims to be more authentic and full of life than ever.

Describing herself as a rainbow of soul, her first EP “Push” (August 2022, via Ensoul Records) is a journey through jazzy, funk, and pop rhythms with rich and enchanting melodies. General admission is $37.50. Tickets are available online at vtix.com

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. at The ACT (11944 Haney Pl.).
