Gloria Edna Mabel (Selvey) Williamson

In Loving Memory ~

August 1, 1943 to December 16, 2025

Gloria was born August 1, 1943 and went home to be with her Lord on December 16, 2025. She was predeceased by her father and mother Francis (Frank) and Mabel Selvey, and her brother Lyle Selvey. She is survived by her nieces Donna (Randy), Cheri (Karl) and Debbie (Jim) and her nephew Dave (Kimber) and 8 great and several great, great nieces and nephews.

Gloria grew up in Whonnock, BC and was a founding member of Wildwood Fellowship Church. She lived and worked in Kamloops for several years. Gloria counselled at Pioneer camps for about 25 years. Despite working nights as a Security Guard and selling Watkins, Gloria managed to lead children’s clubs, ladies’ Bible study and attend Bible College and keep in touch with family and friends. Her big passion was Operation Christmas Child, shopping and packing many shoeboxes, encouraging others to pack shoeboxes and even holding 24/7 packing parties. In 2025, despite a stroke, with the help of friends Gloria was able to pack 50 shoeboxes and drop them off at Ridge Church on the last day before the final count as she had done for over 20 years. Gloria packed a lot of living into her 82 years.

Gloria will be missed by her family and many friends, but we are comforted that she is at Home with her Saviour and those that have gone before.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Wildwood Fellowship Church, 272nd Street, Maple Ridge BC at 2PM Saturday, March 28, 2026. Please join us to remember Gloria
