Abbotsford streamer nominated for national content creator award

For the first time ever, Canadian content creators are being celebrated with their own award show, and an Abbotsford streamer is among the list of finalists for the March 26 ceremony.

Josh, who is better known by his online persona Jozzoh, has been regularly streaming video game content from his Abbotsford home since the beginning of 2025.

Since then, he’s cultivated an audience of more than 185,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube.

This amount of growth has garnered Jozzoh national attention as one of the dozens of creators being honoured at the inaugural Confluence Awards.

The event is being promoted as the country’s first awards show entirely dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of Canadian content creators.

Scheduled to take place in Toronto on March 26, this event will give out awards across 10 categories, with more than 40 creators named as finalists.

Jozzoh is up for the Breakthrough Star Award, but has some stiff competition to contend with.

Fellow Breakthrough Star Award finalists include:

• Hillary Kaplan/Subversivesocialite (fashion and lifestyle)

• Andrian Makhnachov (lifestyle and immigration)

• Becca Rhodes/Thefilmtripper (film and travel)

• Jessica Milburn/Responsiveparenting (parenting)

“To be recognized at this inaugural national event is an incredible honour,” said Jozzoh.

“The Confluence Awards are a milestone in Canada’s digital space, providing a stage for the amazing voices and entertainment our country has to offer.”

To get to the point where he is even being considered for a national creator award is something Jozzoh said he is incredibly proud of, especially after such a short but meaningful time as a streamer.

“My journey into content creation began after a work injury put life into perspective, pushing me to explore my creative potential in video games and making people laugh,” he said.

Jozzoh is travelling to Toronto to be a part of the award show and find out if he can add “national creator award winner” to his resume.

Along with the Breakthrough Star Award, the Confluence Awards will also name winners in the categories of food, fashion and beauty, health and wellness, arts and entertainment, travel, people’s choice, emerging voice, creator’s choice, and education, business and tech.
