One of the most decorated stars in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling history returns to the local squared circle for the 2026 Abbotsford Agrifair, which runs from July 31 to Aug. 2.
Two-time TNA world champion, former X Division champion and multi-time tag team champion Eric Young is one of the featured performers for the wrestling portion of the 117th edition of the annual community event.
Young last wrestled in Abbotsford for TNA at a house show event on June 5, 2009. He defeated Matt Morgan at the show, which occurred at the Abbotsford Centre.
The Ontario product made his debut in 1998 and debuted in TNA in 2004. He captured his first tag team title later that year and was regularly featured on TNA’s weekly television series Impact in the years that followed. Young won the X Division title in 2008 and then earned his first world title with a win over Magnus in April 2014.
He then signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2016 and was featured on that company’s NXT, Smackdown and Raw television shows. Young also competed on the Extreme Rules and Survivor Series premium live events in 2018. He departed the company in 2020.
Young made his return to TNA (then known as Impact Wrestling) in 2020 and regained the promotion’s heavyweight championship that September. He briefly rejoined WWE in 2022, but did not appear on-screen. Young returned again to TNA in 2023 and has spent the past three years in that company.
This Abbotsford appearance will be his first match in British Columbia since a WWE live event at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena in 2019. Young and Alexander Wolfe lost to Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows on Feb. 2, 2019.
Professional wrestling has been a big part of Agrifair for decades and has featured stars from all over the globe. Young will both compete in the ring and also have a special meet and greet.
In other Agrifair news, organizers announced the 2026 theme for the event is ‘Welcome Neigh-bours’. The theme honours both the Year of the Horse and coming together as a community.
“From the barns to the midway, from the grandstand to the local vendors, Agrifair is built on neighbours coming together,” organizers stated. “In 2026, we’re celebrating the connections, the horsepower, and the shared traditions that make our fair so special. We can’t wait to welcome you.”
