The Maple Ridge Ramblers junior boys basketball team won the district championship for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows.
The Ramblers hosted the tournament, after having been undefeated in league play through two season.
They met the tough Thomas Haney Thunder in the championship game, and actually trailed by seven points with less than four minutes to play. But the Ramblers came back to force overtime, and eventually won the game by a 59-54 score.
They beat the Pitt Meadows Marauders in the semi-final.
Brady Horne and Ethan Saranchuk were named league all-stars.
The Ramblers now go on to the Fraser North Championship, and will face the Terry Fox Ravens from Coquitlam on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Pitt Meadows Secondary.
