Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey players win MVP awards

A pair of Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey Association players were standouts in a year-end PCAHA event.

Aidan Chabot was named game the MVP at the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association’s U21 Scholarship Tournament. His Flames team won the scholarship tournament, going undefeated through three round-robin games, and winning the final at the Surrey Sports and Leisure centre on Jan. 31.

Dawson Hemminger from the local association also won a game MVP award for the Senators at the tourney.

Each year the PCAHA holds six special recognition events to promote the ideals of scholastic achievement and sportsmanship combined with participation in Minor Hockey at the U18 and U21 levels, and to showcase the talents of players in these divisions. The tournament was played out at the end of January.
