November 3, 1939 – January 19, 2026
Jim was a hard-working family man, raised on Northern Vancouver Island. He had a passion for hunting. He worked in many professions over the years, including as a Logger, Whaler, and Bridgeman. He spent his retirement as a Farmer in Maple Ridge. He was predeceased by his wife, Lorna, and his granddaughter, Lexi. Jim is survived by his children: Daren, Lori (Doug), Dayna, Shawn, and Nicole, as well as his grandchildren: Mathew, Brittney, Hannah, and Jessica. He will be remembered for his dedication to family, his humour, and the life he built through hard work.
He never looked for praises
He was never one to boast
He just went on quietly working
For the ones he loved the most.
His dreams were seldom spoken
His wants were very few
And most of the time his worries
Went unspoken too.
He was there…a firm foundation
Through all storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold on to
In times of stress and strife.
A true friend we can turn to
When times were good or bad
One of our greatest blessings
The man we call Dad.
