Born on December 25th, 1941 in Montreal, Quebec. Resided in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
Christine passed away peacefully in Maple Ridge Hospital at the age of 84 on January 3rd, 2026 after a lengthy battle with her health.
Predeceased by her two sons Real & Reg Despins, her grandson Jeff Taube, and her two brothers, Keith and Stuart MacCuaig.
Christine is survived by her sisters, Corinne Kaattari, Donna Watkins, Diana McCuaig, Carla Ryynanen, and her brother Adam Mirowski, their families, and her great-granddaughter Abigail Taube.
Her meticulous and artistic nature led her to a lifelong profession as a hair stylist. Her passion for perfection gave her the edge to master the art of hair dressing.
As the firstborn to Donald MacCuaig and Amy May Mirowski, Christine carried a compassion for the well-being of her brothers and sisters. Her warm heart extended out to her long-time friend Antonia Carrol Mazurski (Toni), to whom she was eternally grateful for all her kind assistance.
Christine was a two-time cancer survivor with COPD. She remained strong with a positive attitude through her illness to her final hours. She was an inspiration to her family & friends and filled our lives with love and laughter. She will be forever missed.
