“Targeting a member of our senior community is unacceptable,” Oak Bay Police Department said in a news release. “Our officers – working closely with regional partners – are actively pursuing leads and reviewing all available evidence. We have connected with the victim to ensure they receive the support and resources they need during this difficult time.”
Goldsmith Avenue is a busy road, near Oak Bay Rec Centre, a pair of seniors’ residences, Oak Bay High and a busy shopping centre that includes a large grocery store near Fort and Foul Bay.
The file is still under investigation.
