A Kelowna resident got an early Christmas gift with a $31-million Lotto Max win.
Ingo Abresch said he was dumfounded when learning of his winnings from a Sept. 23 draw through PlayNow.com.
When he called his partner to share the news, she couldn’t believe it either.
“[She] was hugely skeptical about it,” said Abresch. “Even when I phoned her, she had to ask who was calling – she thought it was a scam.”
The winner said he doesn’t plan on changing his lifestyle, but looks forward to dinners out and few future vacations.
