Single-vehicle crash in Abbotsford leaves one dead

One person is dead following a single-vehicle collision in Abbotsford on Saturday morning (Dec. 13).

Police responded to a call of a collision at 11:30 a.m. in the 28000 block of Huntingdon Road.

“Emergency crews arrived to find a single vehicle that had rolled off the roadway into a water-filled ditch,” noted an Abbotsford Police news release Saturday. Despite lifesaving measures, the driver “succumbed to their injuries,” police said.

Huntingdon Road remains closed between Lefeuvre Road and Bradner Road as of 2 p.m. It is expected to be closed for several hours as police and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) investigate.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, observed the vehicle in the ditch, or has dashcam footage of the incident to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
