The largest arena in the Fraser Valley has been receiving a bit of an upgrade over the past week.
Signage has been installed that helps put a finishing touch on the renaming of the Abbotsford Centre to the Rogers Forum and it began on Monday (Nov. 24) with a new sign located outside of Gate 1.

That work was completed and a new installation began on Tuesday (Nov. 25) outside of Gate 4. That part of the building is north facing and is visible from the King Road. Both new signs feature the new arena’s name, Rogers Forum, in bold red lettering and also showcases the Rogers corporate logo.

The first big event under the Rogers Forum name occurs on Wednesday (Nov. 26) when The Tea Party, Headstones and Finger Eleven perform. Country music artists Paul Brandt and Terri Clark then hit the stage inside the venue on Saturday (Nov. 29).
The Abbotsford Canucks play for the first time under the Rogers Forum name on Tuesday (Dec. 2) against the Calgary Wranglers. The two teams lock horns again on Wednesday (Dec. 3). The club’s annual Teddy Bear Toss is set for Dec. 6 and the team is promoting a fifth anniversary event on Dec. 7. Both of those games are against the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Rogers Forum also hosts games against the Tucson Roadrunners on Dec. 19 and 20.
Other events scheduled for December include: Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland (Dec. 5) and Stars on Ice (Dec. 21).
The City of Abbotsford, Canucks Sports and Entertainment (CSE) and Rogers Communications announced that the venue was going to be renamed on Nov. 13.
The building had operated without a naming rights sponsor since its opening in 2009 and CSE have managed the building since the 2021-22 season. The length and value of the naming rights deal has not yet been made public.
