UPDATE: Man in hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Hope

A 53-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital for serious injuries after being stabbed multiple times in Hope.

Hope RCMP, at least three Hope Fire Department fire engines, and Hope paramedics were on scene, in the area between Old Hope Princeton Way and Ryder Street, for the incident which took place before 5:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17.

“This was a targeted attack and there is no risk to the public,” said Staff Sgt.Mike Sargent. “Investigators were quick to identify two suspects and the investigation remains ongoing.”

A serious police incident has occurred on Old Hope Princeton Way in Hope.

Hope RCMP, at least three Hope Fire Department fire engines, and Hope paramedics were on scene for the incident which took place shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, across the Hope McDonald’s.

Drivers should proceed with caution while traveling through the area. Alternative routes are available through Nelson Avenue and 5th Avenue.
