It’s now a best-of-three.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homered and drove in a pair of runs and starter Shane Bieber allowed just one run in 5 1/3 innings, leading the visiting Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the 2025 World Series Tuesday at Dodger Stadium.
The win, coming less than 24 hours after a heartbreaking 6-5 loss in 18 innings Monday, pulled the Jays even at 2-2 in the best-of-seven series.
Game 5 goes Wednesday (5 p.m.) in L.A. and the victory also means the Jays are guaranteed to take the series back to Toronto for Game 6 on Halloween night.
Guerrero’s homer, his seventh of the 2025 post-season, came in the third inning off Dodgers starter Shohei Ohtani.
Nathan Lukes, Addison Barger and Ernie Clement all had two hits for Toronto.

Ohtani, who reached base a playoff record nine times, including five walks, on Monday, gave up four runs on six hits in six innings to take the loss on the mound. He went 0-for-3 at the dish, with Bieber striking him out twice. Game 3 hero Freddie Freeman had two hits for L.A., with Enrique Hernandez driving in Max Muncy for the lone Dodgers run.
The Dodgers opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning, when Hernandez played Muncy with a sacrifice fly.
The Jays answered in their half of the third, when Lukes singled and scored on Guerrero’s 395-foot blast to left centre, giving Toronto a 2-1 lead. It was only the fourth homer given up all year by Ohtani.
The Dodgers threatened in the bottom of the sixth with two men on, but Mason Fluharty come on in relief for Bieber and retired Muncy and Tommy Edman.
In the seventh, the relentless Jays added four big runs, with Barger, Bo Bichette, Ty France and Andres Gimenez all driving in runs to make it 6-1.
After Chris Bassitt tossed two innings of scoreless relief for Toronto, Louis Varland came in to finish things off in the ninth. He walked Teoscar Hernandez and Muncy doubled to right. Edman grounded out to third base, scoring Hernandez to make it 6-2. Varland then struck out Enrique Hernandez and got Alex Call to fly out to end the game.
NOTES: The Jays were without outfielder George Springer, who suffered an injury in Monday’s game… Trey Yesavage is slated to get the Game 5 start for Toronto, with Blake Snell expected to take the mound for the Dodgers.
