In loving memory ~
Pat, also affectionately known as “Pat the Dad,” “Pearl,” and “Papa Pat,” passed away peacefully on the evening of May 13th after a short but aggressive battle with cancer.
Pat was predeceased by his parents, Rhoda (Newman) and Samuel Waddell; his brother, Samuel Thomas; his nephew, Trevor Wazney; and his brothers-in-law, William Wazney and Blayne Burton.
Born and raised in Port Coquitlam, Pat moved to Maple Ridge in the late 1970s, where he built a life full of friendship and laughter. Outgoing and warm, Pat made friends wherever he went—whether during his many years working at Riverview Hospital, playing slo-pitch, racquetball, or golf. Or simply out and about with his buddy Nicholas, he always had a familiar face to greet.
Pat leaves behind his children, James Crape (Nicki Reyda) and Emma Andexer (Sebastian), and his beloved grandchildren, Liam, Aiden, and Fae. Also mourning his passing are his sisters, Sandra Wazney and Karen Wylie (Len); nieces and nephews, Alanna, Chase, and Will Miller, and Trina Wylie (Sunny); and his long-time friend and support, Susan Crape (Jen).
As per Pat’s wishes, there will be no service.
