In loving Memory ~
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen “Steve” Bryan Gilmore, who left us peacefully following a brief stay at 100 Mile District Hospital.
Born in the small coastal community of Esperanza, Vancouver Island, Steve built his life through hard work, humor, and kindness. He began his career at White Freightliner in Burnaby before completing his mechanic’s apprenticeship. He later owned River Rd. Truck & Auto and shared his skill and camaraderie at Maple Ridge Chrysler and T & T Auto Parts in Maple Ridge and Surrey, BC.
After more than four decades in Maple Ridge, Steve and his wife Betty retired to 108 Mile Ranch in 2017, where he enjoyed the slower pace, the beauty of the Cariboo, and time with family, friends, and his loyal companion, Teddy.
Steve will be deeply missed by his wife Elizabeth (Betty); sons Craig and Corey (wife, Tina); daughter Miranda; and his cherished grandchildren, Aubrey and Colton.
In honoring his wishes, a warm gathering of remembrance will be held at the family home on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 1-4 p.m.
Gone but never forgotten; his presence will be deeply missed.
