Police searching for B.C. man charged with manslaughter

More than three months after abruptly leaving a halfway house in Abbotsford, Jordan Conway now has Canada-wide warrants out for his arrest.

The Vancouver Police Department said on Tuesday (Oct. 21) that 26-year-old Conway was charged in 2024 with the manslaughter of Aden Hersi, and has since picked up several additional charges, including assault and breach of his release conditions.

Conway has been accused of attacking the 69-year-old taxi driver on Aug. 14, 2022, leaving Hansi with serious injuries that he succumbed to three months later.

After being arrested and charged in early September 2024, Conway was then released as he awaited further court appearances.

He began staying at a halfway house in Abbotsford on July 7, 2025, where he remained for less than a week before fleeing.

“He left without notice sometime during the night between July 12 and July 13,” said the Vancouver Police Department.

After several weeks of searching, the police decided to expand the warrants countrywide on Oct. 8.

Anyone who spots Conway is encouraged to call 911 immediately.
