Pedestrian dies in Aldergrove crash

One person died after being hit by a vehicle in Aldergrove Tuesday morning.

At approximately 6:42 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision located near 264 Street and 0 Avenue.

RCMP officers, alongside personnel from the British Columbia Ambulance Service and Township of Langley Fire Department, arrived on scene and located the pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.

“Despite immediate life saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.

Road closures are in effect in the immediate area, and motorists are asked to avoid the area. Police said motorists can expect disruptions to last several hours.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and especially those with dash camera footage is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2025-34643.

According to DriveBC, access to the border crossing remained open via 0 Avenue as of Tuesday morning.
