Eby joined media and representatives of the Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth on a visit to Jewel Welding Fabrication and Coating Ltd.

The company, formally based on Fisherman Road in Albion, relocated to the new industrial park in Webster’s Corners.

Jewel specializes in large-diameter industrial pipe fabrication and coating for major water-service and hydroelectric infrastructure.

Some of Jewel’s noteworthy projects have included the Jericho pump station, the Annacis water tunnel project, Second Narrows, Bridge River penstocks, and the Whistler clarifier.

During Eby’s visit to Maple Ridge this morning he was expected to announce support for this company’s expansion, that includes the new facilities and more jobs.
