A prominent Timmys in Maple Ridge is moving west.
There will be a new Tim Hortons restaurant location on the Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge opening soon, and the longtime location at 224th Street and Lougheed will be closing for good.
The new location will be open for business at 222 Street and Lougheed, across the street from Ridge Church, and is scheduled to open in March. It will replace the 224th Street location.
Site work was underway this week, with pavers and landscapers at the new location – formerly a KFC. The new location has a drive-thru, which drivers will be able to access from Selkirk Avenue.
There is no drive-thru feature at the current location on 224th and Lougheed, which is a 24-hour location.
There are currently six Tim Hortons locations in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, from Lougheed Highway and 287th Street in the east, to the Meadowtown Shopping Centre Timmy’s in the west.
That total includes the coffee shop in the Esso service station at 248th and Dewdney Trunk Road, near Garibaldi secondary, which is scheduled to re-open in the coming months.
