UPDATE Feb. 5:
Police have caught up with a ‘violent’ wanted man.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP issued a notice Jan. 28 of Brandon Tarl Thomas Wilson, wanted for a number of firearms offences.
Wilson, 39, was considered violent and the public was warned not to approach him but to call 911.
Police confirmed Feb. 4 that he has been arrested, and according to court documents, he remains in custody.
He is facing firearm possession charges alongside Christian Marsden from a Dec. 30, 2025, incident in Kelowna. Wilson is also facing a charge of assault of an officer with a weapon from the same incident.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 17.
Wilson has a lengthy history in the court system, at locations throughout B.C., for various charges, including multiple assaults in Abbotsford and one in Vernon in 2016, a 2018 Surrey robbery, a 2021 break and enter in Kamloops, firearm possession in Vernon in 2021, and a 2022 indecent act in a public place in Campbell River.

A man wanted for a number of firearms offences is being sought by the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
Brandon Tarl Thomas Wilson, 39, is considered violent and should not be approached.
He is believed to be in the Vernon or Kelowna area and if he is seen the public is asked to call 9-1-1.
Wilson is five-foot-11-inches tall, weighs 242 pounds, has brown hair and green eyes.
