A fire at Bakerview Centre for Learning on Marshall Road in Abbotsford on Monday morning (April 13) is being investigated as an arson.
According to a social media post from the Abbotsford Police Department, officers responded to the blaze at approximately 3:49 a.m. with firefighters from Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service already on scene.
Firefighters extinguished the “small fire”, which damaged the exterior and interior of the building.
Police say no one was injured in the blaze and confirmed it is being investigated as an arson.
“The investigation is in its early stages, and additional resources are being brought in to assist. As a result, the school will be closed today to allow investigators and crews to assess the damage and complete their work,” police said.
