Donations are needed for this years Celebrate Earth Day Freecycle in Maple Ridge.
Organizers are looking for gently used clothing, wearable sporting equipment, toys, and books.
Items collected will be sorted into sizes and categories, set out on tables in the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre, and given away at the Earth Day event on Saturday, April 18.
“We live in an abundant society – most people have too much ‘stuff’ and are more than happy to give it away. Declutter your home then come to find something NEW to YOU,” said coordinators online.
Donations will be collected from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17, in front of the leisure centre at 11925 Haney Pl., Maple Ridge.
Donations can also be dropped off during the Earth Day event which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial Peace Park.
