Premier visits Hopcott Farms in Pitt Meadows

Premier David Eby’s Facebook page shows that the province’s political leader recently visited Hopcott Farms in Pitt Meadows, and he even gave them a plug.

“Recently had the opportunity to visit Hopcott Farms, a multi-generational family run operation in Pitt Meadows,” said Eby of the iconic local business – a butcher, grocery market and bistro on Old Dewdney Trunk Road.

“Seeing their operation firsthand – from the cranberry fields to the butcher shop – reminds us why it’s so important to support local,” he continiued. “When we #BuyBC, we get the freshest products, support our neighbours and keep our local economy strong.

“Thank you to the entire Hopcott team for having me and if you’re in the area make sure to stop by!”

His visit to the farm was not announced to the public, slipping quietly out of town, but the social media post was made on March 30.

Eby was in Maple Ridge on March 18 to visit to Jewel Welding Fabrication and Coating’s new shop, which recieved $2 million from the province.
