City of Maple Ridge podcast dispels myths about property taxes

City of Maple Ridge is featuring talk on property taxes in their new podcast “Tax Mythbusters”.

The Real Ridge Podcast features manager of corporate strategy and business transformation, Phil Sanderson, and City of Maple Ridge Mayor Dan Ruimy, who are tackling the question of why taxes go up when services seem to stay the same.

Discover where each tax dollar goes, whether that be services or capital; what drives tax increases – labour, construction, regulations, and growth; how residents can get clear information and have real input into the budget process.

In addition the podcast features the truth about garbage pickup in Maple Ridge and why engagement matters.

New episodes of the city’s new podcast will be released on Mondays, one to two times per month, and will cover topics like: community safety and emergency readiness; business, infrastructure, and transportation; and your commute.

The show can be found on: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Amazon Music, Audible, IHeartRadio, and Castbox.
