Car enthusiasts from far and wide are invited to the Vintage Car Club of Canada’s 45th annual Spring Swap Meet in Maple Ridge.
There will be Hot Rods, antiques, performance vehicles, collectibles, toys, and memorabilia, at the event.
Vendors, both inside and outside, will be selling parts for vintage cars.
Al Gunderson, president of the Golden Ears Chapter of the club, said attendees will find parts for Model T and Model A, spare parts for classic cars from the 1930’s to the 1960’s like old headlights and chrome moulding.
“You name it, you can find it,” said the club president.
There will be 58 vendors inside this year, however, outside vending tables are not pre-sold. They are on a first-come first-serve basis. Last year there were about 45 outside vendors, but it was cold and rainy, explained Gunderson. The year before there were 70, he said.
In years past there would have been a display of vehicles on display at the event. This year the classic car show has been moved off site, a short walk to the parking lot at the Albion Sports Fields, just east of the event.
This year no vendor vehicles will be able to drive through the buildings to off load merchandise prior to the event.
Last year around 2,400 people came to the event.
The spring swap meet takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, at the Albion Fairgrounds at, 23448 105 Ave, Maple Ridge.
Admission is $5 per person. Children under 12 are free.
The Golden Ears Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada has about 80 members who are interested in the acquisition, restoration, preservation, salvage and maintenance of vintage and collector vehicles.
They meet at St. Andrews Heritage Church on 116 Avenue in Maple Ridge, every first Tuesday of the month, from September to June.
