Ridge Meadows RCMP need the public’s help to locate a 53-year-old man after he failed to turn up at court for his sentencing hearing.
James Thomas Glen Smart was charged with possession of child pornography, assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation, uttering threats, and sexual assault, stemming from an investigation in Maple Ridge in 2019.
Police have now issued an outstanding arrest warrant against Smart, who is also known to travel outside the Lower Mainland and frequent the B.C. Cariboo region.
Smart is described as Indigenous, five foot and 11 inches tall or 180 cm, and 153 pounds or 69 kg.
He has black hair and brown eyes.
