Mikael Granlund scored twice, leading the visiting Anaheim Ducks to a 5-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks in NHL action Tuesday at Rogers Arena.
Alex Killorn, Mason McTavish and Troy Terry also scored for the Ducks (40-27-4), who had lost seven straight games in Vancouver. Lukas Dostal earned the goaltending win, making 27 saves.
Jake DeBrusk, Brock Boeser and Drew O’Connor replied for the Canucks (21-41-8), who remain last overall. Kevin Lankinen took the loss in net, stopping 29 of 33 shots.
The Canucks opened the scoring 5:45 into the first period on the power play, when DeBrusk took a pass down low from forward Elias Pettersson and jammed the puck past Dostal for his 15th goal of the season. Twelve of DeBrusk’s goals have come with the man advantage.
Shots after one period favoured the Ducks, 11-7.
Killorn pulled the Ducks even at 5:26 of the second period, moving down the left side before cutting in and beating Lankinen after a nifty deke. Killorn has 12 goals for the year.
Granlund gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead just over two minutes later, batting a puck out of the air past Lankinen, who couldn’t handle a shot from Anaheim’s Leo Carlsson.

Boeser made it 2-2 on the power play at 13:13 with his 17th of the season. Vancouver’s Filip Hronek took a point shot that hit Anaheim’s Ryan Poehling, and with him struggling to defend, Hronek found Boeser in the left circle and he wired a shot past Dostal.
Anaheim held a 25-19 shots advantage after 40 minutes.
In the third, Granlund gave the Ducks a 3-2 lead just 61 seconds in. Lankinen failed to corral another rebound and Granlund tallied on the power play.
Just 1:11 later, O’Connor made it 3-3, slotting home a rebound of an Evander Kane shot for his career-high 17th goal of the year.
At 5:45, McTavish took a drop pass from Jackson LaCombe and fired a high shot past Lankinen for his 14th of the season.
The Canucks pulled Lankinen in favour of an extra attacker with 90 seconds to play but were unable to beat Dostal and Terry scored into empty net with 4.6 seconds to play to seal the win.
