Josh Morrissey scored the overtime winner, lifting the Winnipeg Jets to a 3-2 win over the visiting Vancouver Canucks in NHL action Saturday at the Canada Life Centre.
Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi also scored for the Jets (26-26-10), with Connor Hellebuyck earning the netminding win, making 21 saves.
Linus Karlsson and Liam Öhgren replied for Vancouver (19-36-8). Goalie Kevin Lankinen played well in defeat, making 32 saves.
Vancouver managed the only goal of the opening period.
Karlsson took a drop pass from Max Sasson and fired a wrist shot from the right offensive faceoff circle that beat Hellebuyck. Karlsson now has 12 goals on the season.

Winnipeg held a 10-5 shots-on-goal advantage after 20 minutes.
The Jets again held a significant territorial advantage in the second period and evened things up at 1-1 when Scheifele tallied with just 12 seconds left on the clock.
Jonathan Toews won an offensive zone faceoff back to Scheifele, who moved into the deep slot and fired his 30th goal of the year past Lankinen. Scheifele has reached the 30-goal mark five times in his career.
Winnipeg outshot Vancouver 15-6 in the middle frame.
The Canucks took back the lead just 33 seconds into the third period when Öhgren one-timed a pass from Teddy Blueger and slotted a shot behind Hellebuyck for his sixth goal of the year.
Vilardi pulled the Jets even with 4:48 left in the third on a late power play. Standing in front of Lankinen, he took a pass from Scheifele and then deked out Lankinen to slip home his 24th of the year and set the stage for 3-on-3 overtime.
Vancouver outshot Winnipeg 10-8 in the period.
In OT, Morrissey scored the winner at 1:49 when his shot banked off Vancouver defender Filip Hronek and past Lankinen. It was his 11th goal of the year and fifth career overtime marker.
The Canucks return home to host the Ottawa Senators on Monday (6 p.m.).
NOTES: The Jets went 1-for-2 on the power play, while the Canucks did not get any chances with the man advantage… P.O Joseph (upper body), Filip Chytil (facial fracture) and Thatcher Demko (hip surgery) sat out injured for Vancouver.
