Conor Garland is headed to Columbus.
Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced on Thursday that the Canucks were sending the veteran forward to the Columbus Blue Jackets, in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2028 NHL draft and a third-round pick in the 2026 NHL draft.
Garland, who turns 30 on March 11, has spent five seasons with the Canucks after being acquired from the Arizona Coyotes in 2021. The five-foot-10, 165-pound winger played 371 games as a Canucks, scoring 82 goals and adding 139 assists for 221 points.

His contract runs through 2032 with a cap hit of $6M.
Earlier this week, the Canucks acquired a second-round draft pick in 2027 and fourth-round draft pick in 2029 from the Dallas Stars in exchange for defenceman Tyler Myers. Vancouver is retaining 50 per cent of Myers’s salary.
Vancouver now has a total of eight selections in the 2026 draft, and nine selections in the 2028 NHL draft.
