Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical hosts annual Future of Work event

The fourth annual Future of Work event by Pitt Meadows Plumbing & Mechanical Systems returns in April, and an early bird ticket deadline is coming in March.

As construction teams across B.C. face increasing delivery complexity, tighter labour conditions, and rising expectations around productivity and performance, Future of Work 2026 returns with a program designed to equip leaders with practical insights for active projects, explains company president Steve Robinson.

Hosted by Pitt Meadows Plumbing at its Shop XL facility in Maple Ridge, Future of Work 2026 will take place April 23 and 24, and brings together owners, general contractors, and specialty trade leadership for two days of keynotes and industry discussions under the theme “Powered by People, Driven by Technology.”

Robinson said the event is about planning for tomorrow.

“Part of being really productive is knowing what tools are available to make you the most productive,” said Robinson.

It’s a growing event that draws construction industry people from across Canada, and is now expanded from one to two days. Robinson said sponsor companies have been generous in supporting the event.

“They see a huge opportunity to connect with the industry.”

Early bird full pass pricing ends March 13. Tickets and information are available online at eventbrite.ca.

Highlights include:

• Wally Adamchik, president FireStarter Speaking, with a keynote on leadership, culture, and performance under pressure.

• Charlie Dunn, Manager of Lean Construction at Mortenson, on construction flow and the operational habits that improve reliability on projects.
