Free curling open house in Maple Ridge

Golden Ears Winter Club is hosting an Olympic Open House for the community to try the sport of curling for free.

Everyone is welcome to the event, no curling experience is needed, and all the equipment will be provided.

Instructors will also be on the ice who will be teaching those who know nothing at all about the sport and giving advice to those who have a little bit of experience under their belt.

The open house is designed for first-timers and people who are curious to learn.

Participants must wear clean indoor shoes and children 12 years and under must wear a helmet.

Complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and goodies will be served throughout the afternoon.

The free Olympic Curling Open House takes place from noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the club at 23580 Jim Robson Way, Maple Ridge.
