Cold weather brings forecast of wet snow

There’s winter weather in the forecast.

It’s going to be a cold long weekend, and week ahead, with a chance of snow at higher elevations.

The Environment Canada weather forecast for Pitt Meadows calls for periods of wet snow over higher elevations early Saturday morning, a high of 6 C, with a low to -1 C on Saturday night.

Sunday will be sunny with a high of 7 C, low of 2 C; and Monday a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 7 C and a low of zero.

Then, Tuesday and Wednesday will bring a mix of sun and cloud with a 60 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries each day, with lows around zero.
