Team captain Zack Lagrange had four goals and six points as his Ridge Meadows Flames beat the Burnaby Steelers 9-3 on Wednesday night, Feb. 4.
The outburst gives last season’s scoring leader in the Pacific Junior Hockey League 24 goals and 45 points in 29 games.
He teamed up with Matthew Biros on a lot of the scoring plays on Wednesday, as the new Flame had a goal and four assists, and is now sitting in third place in league scoring on the season. Biros has 71 points in 42 games, with 34 goals. His points per game has jumped since being acquired from Ridge, from 1.48 with Port Coquitlam, to 2.27 in 11 games with the Flames.
Defenceman Morgan Clark had three assists, Marco Oliviero scored twice, and Samuel Allen and Jonah Power Smith each had a goal and an assist.
Goaltender Nicholas Muc played his sixth game since coming over from the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers, and got his sixth win for the Flames.
