Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce to host lunch with new ICBC CEO

The Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce will host new ICBC president and CEO next month.

The “lunch with leadership” event happens on Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The ACT Arts Centre.

The chamber invites people to have lunch, conversation, and gain insights into how ICBC is changing for businesses and communities across BC, followed by a live question and answer period.

ICBC announced on Jan. 6 that its board of directors confirmed McDaniel as president and CEO. He served as interim president and CEO since June 2025. The lawyer first joined ICBC in 2006 and held several senior leadership roles including vice president of operations, chief legal officer and corporate secretary.

“This was a unanimous decision by the Board,” said Catherine Holt, ICBC board chair. “We have the utmost confidence in Jason’s leadership, commitment to public service and deep institutional knowledge.

“He played a pivotal role in ICBC’s shift from a legal-based auto insurance model to the Enhanced Care model. And his vision is to continue modernizing ICBC by improving services for customers and keeping insurance rates affordable.”

Attendees are welcome to send in their questions in advance to lauren@ridgemeadowschamber.com.

The cost is $30 plus GST for chamber members, and $50 plus GST for non-members. Registration is required, and can be done online at business.ridgemeadowschamber.com.
