Lloyd, affectionately known as Papa, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2026, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife Sarah Patricia, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage built on love, loyalty and deep companionship.
Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his son Steve (Debbie), granddaughters Stephanie (Dan), Ashley (Sam), Ayla (Grant) grandson Callum (Crystal) and his cherished great grandchildren Logan, Oliver, Adeline, Ella, Everly and Naomii. He is also survived by his sister Florence and brother Wayne. He was predeceased by his daughter Carol Ann, his parents Allan and Evelyn, sisters Margaret, Thelma and Elaine, brothers Dale and Roy and mother-in-law Cissy.
From 1950 to 1970, Lloyd enjoyed a successful career as a professional jockey before building a janitorial business that continues today through his son. He will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He will be eternally missed.
Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at Garden Hill Funeral Services (11765 – 224 St. Maple Ridge), on Saturday, February 21st, from 2pm – 4pm. Also, the service will be livestreamed.
