A man has died after a shooting in west Abbotsford on Friday afternoon (Jan. 9) that police say is gang-related.
Sgt. Paul Walker, media officer with the Abbotsford Police Department, said police were called to the 3200 block of Siskin Drive – just west of Blue Jay Street – at 12:38 p.m.
Walker said the shooting was targeted, but not related to exortion.
A heavy police presence is on scene, and Siskin Drive is closed to traffic between Sandpiper Drive and Stellar Court, as of 4 p.m.
IHIT has deployed to Abbotsford following a shooting that left one man dead. Shooting appears to be targeted, and investigation is in the early stages. More info when it becomes available.

The investigation is now being headed by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. No further details have been released.
