There’s still a few hours before the deadline for local businesses.
In both Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, the cutoff for business licence renewals is today (Wednesday, Dec. 31).
With the recent Canada Post labour dispute possibly impacting delivery of the annual invoices, both municipalities have issued notices online reminding local business operators of the impending deadline.
In Pitt Meadows’ case, the notices were mailed out in mid-November. But they still are reminding operators that every business in the City of Pitt Meadows is required to have a valid business licence before commencing operations in January.
In their case, payments can be made in person at city hall or online at mypittmeadows.com.
As for Maple Ridge, they’re suggesting the faster way to renew is online with a credit card, or by phone at 604-467-7305 before 4 p.m. today.
