A man was killed in a stabbing in Abbotsford on Sunday (Dec. 14).
The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) said in a news release that another man was arrested at the scene and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
According to the APD, officers responded to the stabbing at approximately 11:03 a.m. at a house in the 33900 block of McCrimmon Drive.
Inside, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. First responders attempted lifesaving efforts but the man died at the hospital.
Police secured the area and confirmed the incident was confined to a residence.
The investigation is in its early stages and is being transitioned to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) from APD’s major crime unit.
“Additional resources have been deployed to support efforts in uncovering the full circumstances surrounding this incident,” APD said.
