Firefighters from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows will be shaking their boots this Saturday, Dec. 13, for the annual Firefighters for Families boot drive.
The campaign sees the first responders at high-traffic locations in both cities, collecting cash donations, toys, and non-perishable food donations for families in need this holiday season. The donations benefit the Friends in Need Food Bank, and the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society.
The donations will be collected from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. In Maple Ridge, the firefighters will be at all three Save-On Foods stores, FreshCo, Canadian tire, and at No Frills.
In Pitt Meadows, they will be at Real Canadian Superstore, Tim Hortons, Save-On Foods, and Shoppers Drug Mart.
