The Flames took a 4-0 lead early in the game, on four straight power play goals – the first three scored by sniper Zack Lagrange. Then Joshua Bettesworth made it 5-0 with a shorthanded goal, as the Flames dominated the special teams battle.

Lagrange finished the game with four goals and a season-high five points, and he was picked as the game’s first star. Erick Sollied was the third star, as he had three assists. Bettesworth had two goals, and defenceman Tyler Blatz had a goal and an assist.

Rookie goalie Nathan Niedermeiser got his third win of the season, stopping 22 of 25 shots.
