Montana movie filmed in small B.C. town

Hollywood has put some roadblocks in Enderby.

Filming for a movie is underway in downtown Enderby Monday, Dec. 8.

Called Billings, the film is based on Billings, Montana and reportedly stars Alexander Ludwig.

Produced by Enderby Entertainment – the company founded by Enderby native Rick Dugdale – filming is underway at Enderby’s library.

Portions of Cliff Avenue and Belvedere Street are closed to vehicle traffic.

Intersections at Belvedere/Mill and Cliff/Vernon will generally be open except for brief periods of up to five minutes while filming a particular scene is occurring.

At various times, traffic to and from the Bawtree Bridge may be detoured along Railway Street.

“Traffic control signs and persons will be out to help traffic through and around the film scene,” said Tate Bengston, Enderby chief administrative officer.

Traffic control will also assist emergency vehicles in getting through.

Filming has already been taking place in Salmon Arm, including a fictitious robbery.
