TransLink board increases development cost charges

TransLink’s board of directors on December 3 approved a development cost charge increase of 2.6 per cent effective New Years Day.

Introduced in 2018, these charges, collected from land developers related to new development, help fund a part of TransLink’s expansion projects.

The charge increase will see an $86 increase per single family dwelling (to $3,416 from $3,330), a $72 increase per duplex and townhouse (to $2,837 from $2,765), and a $45 increase per apartment (to $1,774 from $1,729).
