Ridge Meadows RCMP gave the Friends in Need Food Bank a much-needed boost with a recent donation drive.
The local cops were at the Meadowtown Shopping Centre in Pitt Meadows for their regular Cram the Cruiser campaign over the weekend, and loaded it with 200 pounds of food and approximately $2,000 in cash.
Donations to the food bank can be made at any time, and can be done online at friendsneedfood.com.
Food bank manager Evan Seal said the need is huge this year, as the number of people who use their services continues to grow, while, this year, donations from other events have been down compared to previous years.
