Christmas light displays are popping up across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Here are some worth the drive to see:

• Perry and Paula Balascak at 23025 125A Ave., Maple Ridge, will have their lawn lit up with hundreds of lights, and a hand made Grinch and Max;

• Joni Sparks’ display includes a unique rotating Christmas Ferris wheel with characters in their seats. The display runs 4-11 p.m. daily at 20480 Thorne Ave., Maple Ridge;

• Karin and Andy Cleven will have their Christmas light display on from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night at 12664 235 St., Maple Ridge. They are accepting donations for the Maple Ridge Community Foundation’s Community Chest program which provides one-time assistance to a person or family facing financial hardship that could send them further into poverty;

• Matt and Heather Jonatschick will have a musical display at 11661 Glenhurst St., in Maple Ridge, including a hot chocolate bar that will be open during select times and dates. Lights will be on from 4 p.m. to midnight, with music from 7-10 p.m., daily;

• and Mark and Jana Rockwood are raising money for the Maple Ridge based Paws for Hope Animal Foundation, which provides veterinary care and foster care support for pets across the province.

“We wanted to encourage others to donate along with us this year,” said the couple who are long time German shepherd owners and always looking to help other dogs that are not as fortunate as their own.

They will have a cool blue and white “Icy” display with hand-crafted snowmen, deer, and trees. Their display at 22863 124B Ave., Maple Ridge, will be on from dusk to 11 p.m. nightly.

A QR code will be part of their display and will direct donors to the online donation page at: https://auakshxy.donorsupport.co/page/FUNCWNMMSHB or by visiting https://www.pawsforhope.org/.
